Cookie Policy
Plain language summary: We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your settings, and understand how people use ThisPrank. We do not use cookies to serve ads or sell your data to advertisers.
01
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners about how their services are used.
In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. This policy refers to all such technologies collectively as "cookies."
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies — temporary files deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies — files that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them
- First-party cookies — set directly by ThisPrank
- Third-party cookies — set by external services we integrate with
02
Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary
Required for the Service to function. These enable authentication (keeping you logged in), maintaining your session, and basic security features. The Service cannot function without them.
Functional
Remember your preferences and settings across visits — such as UI theme, language preferences, and feature toggles — to provide a more personalized experience.
Analytics
Help us understand how users interact with ThisPrank — which features are most used, where users encounter issues, and how we can improve the overall experience. Data is aggregated and pseudonymized.
Marketing / Advertising
We do not use advertising or marketing tracking cookies. ThisPrank does not display third-party ads and does not share cookie data with advertising networks.

05
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Cookie Consent Banner
On your first visit, we display a cookie consent banner where you can accept all cookies or choose only necessary cookies. You can change your preferences at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer.
Browser Settings
You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies currently stored on your device
- Delete all or specific cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites or all sites
- Configure alerts when cookies are set
Browser-specific instructions:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Disabling Strictly Necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the Service. Optional cookies (Functional, Analytics) can be disabled without affecting core functionality.
06
Do Not Track
Some browsers support a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal that you can enable to request that websites not track your activity. Currently, there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals.
At this time, ThisPrank does not alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals. However, you can use the cookie preference controls described in Section 5 to limit non-essential data collection.
07
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notice or email and, where required, ask for your renewed consent.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
